Manufacturer, not a reseller

We build every door we install, and we install every door we build.

We manufacture, install, repair and service roller shutter doors, garage doors, shopfront security shutters and heavy-duty industrial doors. Every door is cut, rolled and assembled at our own works and fitted by our own teams, so one company quotes the job, builds it, installs it and answers for it afterwards.

Germiston is the heaviest industrial town we cover, and that changes what a door has to survive. In Wadeville and Elandsfontein we are specifying for foundry heat, forklift impact and openings that cycle all day and half the night, so we build to a genuine duty rating rather than fitting a domestic curtain in a bigger size. Every quote comes off a free measured survey, itemised and fixed in writing before manufacture starts.

We repair any make of door, including plenty we did not build. If a spring, a bearing or a bottom rail is the honest fix we say so rather than selling a replacement door, and breakdowns are attended same-day wherever we can reach you, from the old streets around Lambton and Primrose to the yards at Wadeville and the rail sidings at Knights.

What we make

Industrial-duty doors, and domestic ones built the same way

Wadeville and Elandsfontein set the standard here. Heavier slat, barrels sized to the span, and gear rated for openings that cycle all day and half the night rather than twice.

Industrial Roller Shutter Doors

Wadeville, Elandsfontein, Knights

Heavy-duty galvanised shutters for the Germiston industrial belt, specified by cycle count and span rather than sold off a size chart. Openings to 8 000mm.

  • Openings to 8 000mm wide
  • 0.8mm–1.2mm galvanised slat
  • Chain hoist or motorised

Commercial Roller Shutter Doors

Trade counters and dispatch fronts

Doors for trade counters, parts stores and dispatch fronts that open at six and close at six. Quiet running, powder-coated, sized for constant use.

  • Sized to your actual cycle count
  • Powder-coated to brand colour

Security Roller Shutter Doors

Cash offices and high-value stores

Heavy-gauge security shutters for cash offices, tool stores and non-ferrous stock rooms. Anti-lift locking, bolted bottom rail, alarm and access control integration.

  • Anti-lift bottom rail with bolts
  • Alarm and access control integration

Residential Roller Shutter Doors

Primrose, Lambton and the older suburbs

Roll-up garage doors for the older Germiston housing stock, where brick openings have shifted and a stock-size door will not close square.

  • Insulated aluminium, quiet running
  • Battery backup for load shedding

Fire-Rated Roller Shutter Doors

Compartment openings and plant rooms

Certified fire-rated shutters for compartment walls, plant rooms and stores, with the drop-test documentation your insurer and fire officer expect.

  • Fail-safe gravity descent, no power needed
  • Fire panel integration and drop testing

Perforated Roller Shutter Doors

Heat and fumes out, security kept

Perforated curtains for welding bays and workshops that need airflow at the end of a shift without leaving the opening standing wide.

  • Punched galvanised slat, mixed options
  • Openings to 6 000mm wide

What we do after the sale

From survey to service contract

We survey, manufacture, install, motorise and maintain. Service contracts on plant doors, because on a running line a planned visit is cheaper than an emergency one.

How a job runs

From your first call to the handover

Six steps, no surprises in the middle of them.

You call or send the opening size

A width and height off the opening is enough. If it is a replacement, tell us how many times a day it cycles.

We survey the site

We measure the structural opening, check headroom and side room, and confirm whether the supply is single or three phase.

You get a costed quote

Itemised by door, motor and installation, with the duty rating written down so you can see what you are paying for.

We manufacture

Built at our own works to the gauge and spring rating your cycle count needs, not cut down from a stock door.

We install and hand over

Fitted around your shift where possible, limits set, photocells and safety gear tested with your team watching.

We service it afterwards

Serviced on a planned interval afterwards, because a door on this duty cycle is a maintenance item, not a fitting.

Before you call

The questions we are asked most

Price follows the opening size, the slat specification, and whether the door is manual or motorised. A single domestic garage door sits at the bottom of the range; a wide motorised industrial shutter with wind locks and safety devices sits at the top, and the gap between them is large. We quote per opening after a site survey rather than publish a figure that turns out to be wrong for your building. Send us the width and height and we can usually give you a budget range on the phone.

For a standard door on a straightforward opening, expect roughly two to four weeks from accepted quote to installed door. The survey happens within a few days of your call, the quote follows within one working day of measuring, and manufacture takes the bulk of the remaining time because each door is built to your measured opening rather than pulled from stock. Fire-rated doors and unusual sizes take longer. If you have a hard deadline, say so upfront and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

All of them. Our vans work Germiston daily, from the industrial townships at Wadeville, Elandsfontein and Knights, through the CBD and the rail corridor at Driehoek, out to the older streets at Primrose, Lambton and Wychwood and south to Elsburg, Elspark and Rondebult. We cover 27 Germiston suburbs in all, and breakdowns are attended same-day wherever we can reach you.

Across greater Germiston and the East Rand we aim for same-day attendance on emergency breakdowns, and our standby number is answered around the clock on 082 333 9999. Elsewhere in the country it depends on where our nearest team is that week. Our standby vehicles carry the components that fail most often, so a large share of breakdowns are fixed on the first visit. Where a door cannot be fully repaired on the spot, we secure the opening before leaving so you are not left with an open building overnight.

Yes, and most of our service work is exactly that. We repair and maintain all common makes of roller shutter, sectional and high-speed door on South African sites, and we stock or can source the usual wear parts. Where a component is proprietary and genuinely no longer available, we tell you immediately rather than stringing out repairs on a door that cannot be kept going. Send a photo of the door and the motor plate and we can often identify what is needed before anyone travels out.

Every motorised door we install has a manual override, so you are never locked in or out when the power goes. Beyond that we can fit a battery backup that keeps the door operating normally through an outage, typically for dozens of cycles before it needs mains power again. Mention load shedding when we quote and we will include the backup priced as a separate line so you can decide. On commercial sites where trucks need to keep moving, it is usually worth it.

A roller shutter door curls the curtain around a barrel above the opening, so it needs almost no ceiling space behind the lintel. A sectional door lifts panels flat against the ceiling on horizontal tracks, which needs several metres of clear headroom but seals better and insulates better. If your building has low headroom, obstructions above the opening, or services running across the ceiling, a roller shutter is usually the only option. Where headroom allows and thermal performance matters, a sectional door may be the better door. We will tell you which suits your opening at the survey.

A well-specified industrial roller shutter door that is serviced regularly will run for well over a decade, and often considerably longer. The limiting factor is usually the spring assembly, and spring life is measured in cycles rather than years — a loading bay door opened forty times a day wears out far faster than a store room door opened twice. This is exactly what a service contract is for: springs and limit switches are replaced on a planned visit at a fraction of what the same work costs at 22:00 on a Sunday with a truck waiting.

Doors are manufactured to your measured opening rather than to stock sizes, up to roughly 8 000mm wide depending on the slat gauge and drive selected. Unusual openings, non-square openings and awkward headroom are normal work for us — in fact most replacement jobs involve an opening that is not quite square, which is why a door cut down from a standard size tends to leave gaps at the guides that let in rain and dust. Send the width and height and we will confirm what is achievable.
